What is the All of Us Research Program?

  • At the moment, health care is often one-size-fits-all. But imagine a future where your health care is tailored to you. We want to make that future possible. How? By creating one of the largest health databases of its kind.

  • The All of Us Research Program has a simple mission. We want to speed up health research. To do this, we’re asking one million or more people to share their health information. In the future, researchers can use this to conduct thousands of studies.

A unique opportunity

We are very proud that All of Us, a large research program from the National Institutes of Health, has selected the University of Miami as one of ten major enrollment centers. Through the program, Americans from all walks of life, ancestries, and races, have a chance to contribute to research that may improve health for everyone.

Principal Investigator, SEEC (University of Miami)

What will you ask me to do?

You have the power to drive research. We want you to understand each step along the way.

If you decide to join the All of Us Research Program, we will ask you to share different kinds of information. We will ask you basic information like your name and where you live. We will ask you questions about your health, family, home, and work. If you have an electronic health record, we may ask for access. We may ask you to go to a local clinic or drug store for a free appointment with us. At this appointment, we will collect basic physical measurements, including your height, weight, and hip and waist measurements, as well as your blood pressure and heart rate. We might ask you to give samples, like blood or urine, at the appointment.
